Welcome to our family travel blog! We are a couple from the UK with 2 children aged 7 and 5 years. Travel Happy Family is where we share all our travel adventures.
We’re here to inspire and inform your journey, shining a light on a different type of travel with kids. We aren’t professional bloggers, we aren’t digital nomads, and we certainly aren’t wealthy (more’s the pity).
We have traditional 9 to 5’s (my husband is a carpenter, and I am a therapy assistant). Travelling is our passion, and we realised once the children were born, we wanted to continue to travel with them and experience the world. We just had work out how we were going to make it happen!

Travels so far…
Our big trips so far include
* Touring the Austrian and Swiss Alps and driving through Bavaria, Germany with a new-born baby
* Fall in New England, USA – 4 weeks exploring New Hampshire, Massatuchets, and Vermont with our baby
* 5 week trip to Australia, road tripping in Victoria and New South Wales
* European Road Trips to France and Switzerland
Our current travel plans
For 2024, we have a 2 week road trip to Paris, Provence, and the French Alps in May, and then later in August, another road trip to Switzerland, Austria, and Germany.
The Future
We have always loved the idea of moving abroad or taking a family gap year with the kids, but while we are still slowly working towards this, realistically, we have to admit that we are not in the position to finance this particular dream right now. Our new big goal is to aim for a 2-3 month extended trip to Asia, and we have started saving for this.

Also, next year (2025), is a significant birthday! Of course, that means epic trips have to be happening! It is likely to be a 4 week trip in continental Europe.
