Hello! We are James and Liz, a couple from the UK with two children, lovely boys age 7 and 5.
We live in the Cotswolds, and while we love our area, the desire to see more, go to new places and have cool, exciting experiences as a family burns strong, so we do our best to go on as many trips that school, work, and money will allow!

We spent years backpacking and working our way around the world, travelling through Asia, America, Australia and New Zealand.

We share all our adventures, craft travel guides and itinerary’s to share our ideas and experiences with like minded travel loving families, with the aim to inspire other parents and to make planning that trip with the kids a little less daunting.

Like lots of other families, we still want to see the world with our kids and if we can throw any ideas your way – then great! We aren’t experts, we aren’t breaking the mould, and we don’t claim to be – but we are an average family, on a budget, looking to get the most fun out of this life we can – all we can say is that we share our experiences with you all, and hope they help when you are planning your own trips.
We are not full-time travellers; we have static jobs and school for the kids – although the idea of a nomadic travelling lifestyle is appealing, we can not make it work for us right now. This means we fit travel in around school holidays and work, which comes with both challenges and benefits.
We have now been to 30+ countries as a couple, 10 of those with the kids, and we have many, many more on our list! Travelling is our priority, and we take as many trips as resources will allow.
Every blog post on the website is written by us, shaped by our personal experiences exploring these destinations with our kids.
The website is made up of our favourite photographs, best family walks, amazing days out, with a few misssteps thrown in along the way. We hope you enjoy our journey. We can’t wait to document more of our trips and share them with you along the way!
